What this page covers
This page explains what the CarFreeRoutes website (carfreeroutes.com) records when you visit it and what happens if you write to us. The site is run by the CarFreeRoutes team, and you can reach us on any privacy question at contact@carfreeroutes.com.
What we record
To learn which pages are useful, we measure audience with Google Analytics. It records things like the pages viewed, the approximate country, the type of device and how you arrived at the site. Google Analytics uses cookies stored in your browser to do this.
The pages are delivered through Cloudflare, which logs technical access data such as your IP address in order to serve and protect the site. Fonts and images come from our own domain.
What we do not do
You can read every page without creating an account, and we do not ask for personal data to do so. There is no newsletter, no comment section and no form on the site. We do not sell personal data. Apart from what Google Analytics stores, the site itself does not save anything in your browser.
Links to partner sites
Some links on this site lead to partner sites, such as tour sellers, Booking.com and NordVPN; if you book or buy through them, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When you click one, you go to the partner’s own website, which has its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. The booking and the payment happen there, and this site does not receive your booking details.
Messages you send us
There is no contact form: if you write to contact@carfreeroutes.com, your message is stored and sorted by an automated tool so that we can read it, and it is used only to answer you.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us for access to the messages you sent, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete them, at contact@carfreeroutes.com.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can turn off Google Analytics with the browser add-on from Google.
